Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan is a famous American music producer and singer. Also, she's known as her nickname of the Queen of Funk. She has been awarded of ten Grammys throughout her lengthy career spanning over fifty years. Billboard Magazine has listed her 65th among the top dance artist of all time. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz early on in her age by her mother. The beginning years of her career, she performed in a variety groups. Later, she joined the group Rufus. at the age of twenty the singer released her first album, along with the group. One year later they were awarded their very first Grammy. The self-titled debut album just a couple of years following her debut solo album. As time passed, she released a number of albums, such as "Echoes of an Era," The Woman I Am and Funk This. Alongside her music activities, her work in the charitable sector has earned her plenty of recognition. She founded her foundation, the Chaka Khan Foundation to help children from poor families, along with children with autism. Khan has also been an actor on occasions. She was the sister of Carrie on stage in "Mama I'm Wanting to Sing."
